Kullasvuori Hill, Padasjoki

Kullasvuori hill is the southernmost part of an esker beginning on the northern side of Kellosalmi. The ridge formed during the late phase of the Ice Age when melting waters transported gravel and sand to the flank of rocky Tuomasvuori hill. Raised beaches from the marine and lake phases that followed the retreat of the continental ice sheet can be seen on the sides of the esker.
